The Minister of Investment Promotion, Mrs. Rose Kayi MIVEDOR visited on July 27, 2021, the "New Generation Agricole" farm in the prefecture of Tchaoudjo, more precisely in Lama-Tessi in the commune of Tchaoudjo 2.
The objective of this visit is to observe the progress of the installation works of the agricultural complex and to encourage the promoter in this delicate phase. The farm, created by a Togolese promoter, Mr. SAMAROU Abdoulatif Nassaire, is part of the Investment Code. It is a complex that spans an area of 101 hectares. It will include a corn and soybean farm to secure the supply of raw materials for the production of feed, henhouses, brooders and a slaughterhouse for the production of battery broilers. The promoter intends to create in the long term, more than 300 direct jobs.
In fact, the New Generation Agricole farm will ultimately contribute to providing the Togolese population with poultry breeding products and derived products (eggs, chicks, broilers, etc.) in order to reduce dependence on imports.
Note that this investment is in line with the 2020-2025 government roadmap and the National Development Plan in particular, in its axis 2 which promotes the development of agricultural transformation poles.
At the end of the visit, the Minister congratulated the promoter, who, through his investment, contributes to reducing poverty in the area and undoubtedly to slowing down the rural exodus. In particular, it drew its attention to the need to put in place a good commercial strategy that integrates a well-woven distribution network and a control of production costs to ensure good product penetration on the market. She also expressed the availability of her department to accompany her and provide her with the support necessary for the success of her project.
